Things seem to be progressing along nicely. At this rate, we should have a decent crop come fall. The lack of rain hasnt been too bad and I'm always glad to remember that the orchard is irrigated. We have 12 colonies of bees this year and overall they are doing fine. What they need now is a good August with plenty of things blooming so the honey crop will turn out better. Most things this year are about 2 weeks behind. We anticipate the apples being ready about the 1st of September. Please remember, the orchard is still young and that the oldest trees are only 6 years old on average. The hope is that in about 3-4 years, we'll have more than we know what to do with! Each year has been better than the one before, so thats a good thing. I'll keep you posted.
