A new season brings a new crop. The crop this year, although not a big as I would like, is still a huge improvement over last years. We have had the right amount of rainfall and plenty of sunshine. If the bugs, birds and other critters, who also like apples, will stay away for awhile, things should be fine. As it looks now, State Fair, Beacon, Haralson and SnowSweet should produce the best this year. There will be others, but in smaller amounts. Keep an eye here and I'll let you know as things get closer to harvest time.

We recently moved to Baxter from Grand Rapids and we're looking forward to visiting the orchard this season. Wishing you the very best!
